SMG, an events management firm, was selected as the managing firm for the John Paul Jones Arena at the University of Virginia and Payne, Ross & Associates was selected to brand and market the new sports and entertainment venue. We were tasked with creating awareness of the John Paul Jones Arena (JPJ) as a desirable venue in the mid-Atlantic region for world-class talent. We also needed to generate interest on a national scale with promoters to book entertainment at JPJ.

Today, the arena has not only secured a stronghold as a destination, it has logged sold-out shows and has exceeded their projected booking goals by 20%. It looks like there’s no where else entertainers would rather be – and we are glad we could make the introduction.
